12th Report of Session 2010-12

In this report the Procedure Committee supports the changes suggested by the Merits of Statutory Instruments Committee that it be renamed the Secondary Legislation Scrutiny Committee from the start of the 2012-13 session of Parliament, and amend the Committee's terms of reference accordingly. The change reflects the Committee's new responsibility for scrutiny of public bodies orders, as well as adopting a more transparent and easy to explain name.
