For Whom Death Tolls

Church bells peel in the town of Sitting Marsh in World War II England. It is supposed to be the signal for a German invasion. Instead, Elizabeth Hartleigh Compton of Manor House discovers something equally alarming--the body of an American GI hanging from the bell rope. Elizabeth can only hope the murder is an isolated incident and not a wake-up call for more to come.
