With great aplomb, David Bade (b. 1970 in Willemstad, Curacao) conquered the Dutch art world in 1993. He produces abundant images, drawing on many sources: sport, politics, art, sex. 'Less is a bore' would be an appropriate motto for him. His critical, poetic drawings and paintings were liberating, and his sculptures made of trash and polyurethane foam became trendsetters. This publication gives the first ever overview of the work of David Bade. Exhibition: GEM, Museum voor Actuele Kunst, Den Haag, 20 March - 27 June 2010; GEMAK, Den Haag, 20 March - 30 May 2010.
