Transylvania-born  Hermann Julius Oberth (25 June 1894-28 December 1989) was an amateur bi-fuel liquid rocketeer and a best-selling author about rocket engine research, development and interplanetary space travel. He also created design ideas for orbiting space solar mirrors…their concentrated energy beamed down to Earth for peaceful purposes as well as military uses as a “death ray.” This is the story of some of his most interesting projects!
