An economic and social history of Yecla (a town in Murcia, Spain). Ch. 5 (pp. 252-338), "Religion, " deals with the Inquisition, which was established in Murcia by 1488. Most of the trials in Yecla took place ca. 1568, and concerned Portuguese Conversos. Describes the rituals that these Crypto-Jews maintained (apparently without knowing what they signified), and gives an account of some of the trials.
