When the richest man in the state is murdered, Lee Cameron, an ex-cop turned detective is called in to help find his killer. Edwin Barnett is the richest man in the state and his death is big news, but his mother, Yvonne Barenett is the matriarch of the company does not want the good Barnett name dragged through the mud. She wants the case solved quickly and quietly. Neda, Ewin's young widow, is not so much concerned about the Barnett name as she is about his money. Lee and Detective Oliver Fletcher are teamed up again to find the murderer.
