A Day As a Portuguese Water Dog

THE ADVENTURES OF SIGI is a series of picture books about a real dog and his interaction with the world around him. Using rhyme and repetition Sigi relates his adventures, which are not unlike those of many children.In Book Four, "A Day As A Portuguese Water Dog," Sigi decides to be a Portuguese Water Dog because the Obamas have chosen one to be their pet. His friends tell him that he is NOT a Portuguese Water Dog even though he insists he is. He eventually finds that he doesn't like doing things that Portuguese Water Dogs enjoy and that it is okay to be himself.
