Stargazer

Stargazer is a science fiction/ love story written in the universal theme of a Romeo and Juliet story. Star crossed lovers, first love, sexual tension, and hidden secrets. Our heroine Vanna falls in love with Fallon not knowing he’s an alien from a distant planet that’s trapped on earth waiting for rescue. Fallon our hero falls in love with our heroine but he’s bound by commitments he made to his home planet before arriving on earth. Fallon is desperate to keep his identity a secret from Vanna. He’s terrified she will turn away from him in fear if she knew he was an alien from a distant planet. Our heroine is bound by her love for Fallon. However, neither can move forward until Fallon’s commitments to his home planet has been fulfilled. A brief excerpt: “Who are you Fallon that you can do such things and, where do you come from?” “Please Vanna; please don’t make me tell you. I’m so afraid you’ll turn away from me in fear if you know, and I would never see you again. I couldn’t face life here without you.” Fallon raised her hand to his lips and kissed her fingers. Please my love don’t make me tell you.” “Fallon I have to know who I’ve fallen in love with. I’ve kept no secrets from you. I’ve told you every last detail about myself. Now it’s your turn. Who are you?” Vanna sat waiting holding his hand. Fallon couldn’t get the words past his lips. His eyes darted around like a trapped animal looking for an escape. Finally, the words rushed out as if they were so vile on his tongue he had to spit them out in a hurry. “I’m an….. About the Author: Barbara says she married a wonderful man she met in high school, and together they have three children and two grandchildren. She graduated from high school however her education lacked giving her the mechanics of writing. She bought books and taught herself by trial and error. She didn’t start writing until she realized she was the last one in her family who still had memories of those who had already passed away. Their stories would be lost forever if someone didn’t capture them for the future. Saving the past began her writing career. After running out of family stories she found she enjoyed writing so much that she began making up short stories with plots that promised to keep the reader’s interest right up to the last page. Then she graduated to full length books. She’s loves writing about the paranormal and so far, she says she hasn’t run out of new book ideas.
