This report represents the first comprehensive examination of the world-wide disaster created by landmines. It provides a series of country studies, and examines international laws governing the use of landmines after armed conflict has ceased. It also contains the first in-depth research into global production and trade in landmines, identifying China, the former Soviet Union, and Italy as the world's leading exporters.
