The Anatomy of Yesterday

"We set off roman candles and bottle rockets in a patch of grass in front of our house. The air smelled like sulfur as a cloud of smoke puffed up into the night sky. The fireworks spurted into the air quick and bright. But as soon as they reached their peak, they died out and fell to the ground quicker than we wanted.
