'Veteran Declared Dead But Yet Still Alive'

So often, we hear about this kind of story happening to other individuals and we wonder, 'is this really true?' Usually, it is someone else who is the victim of this rare occurrence and we are left to figure out the specifics that surround the dilemma. However, this stranger than fiction event did not happen to someone else, it did not happen to my brother, relative or close friend, but 'I' am the recipient of this living nightmare and it continues its reverberating effects until this present day.
