The Coliseum

Welcome to the Coliseum. What happens when the Rapture hasn't happened yet, but it is all you thought would happen? What happens when there is no back up plan? How do you survive? Adults to the front of the line to have their heads cut off if they refuse the State. They MUST take the Mark to buy or sell goods. But it changes you. Forever. But teenagers? Kids?

Because the Mark must be voluntarily given or it won't take, if you say no to the Mark you are placed into a Coliseum. If that sounds familar, the Commander of the World borrowed the idea from Rome. Rome used to throw Christians to the lions. Now, they make us compete in a world wide reality show, the number one show in the world. You get to watch Christians fight others who won't take the mark, and it is a fight to the death.

They are not allowed weapons. But if they don't comply, they are hunted. If they don't comply, they don't eat. That is, unless the people have you as a favorite. Things might be different then.

The book revolves around the life of Nadia, a young girl who refuses to take the Mark of the Beast and whose parents gave her up to the State because they felt this would be a great re-education class. They were so beholden to the State that they believed they were doing their duty. Because of this, they could not understand why she did not just give in. Why not? It was a cozy life of ease if she did. But she believed in Jesus and knew that if she gave in before He came back, there was no redemption.

What happens when Lucifer takes an active interest in Nadia? Will she and her friends ever escape, the Coliseum or will they win the ultimate survivor's prize: a chance to the take the Mark again? Read on to find out!
