This story is leavened with pixie and whimsey - moments which express the Druidic soul of the author. His first job at 17 was a failure. As an apprentice tea taster in Liverpool, he found no difference in the nuances of pure tea samples. Or was this an excuse to have him return to the land of his birth? Joining an uncle on his farm in North Wales, he soon became the shepherd of his own flock.
At twenty he came to Canada and eventually made a professional career in veterinary education at the University of Guelph. In his retirement he traveled the world as a consultant in his field.
Much of this book was written after the author's 90th birthday. Memories of this useful life and of his four blissful marriages make for enjoyable reading.
