This is the most definitive summary available of the critical editions of texts from the ancient Latin literary tradition. It includes not only the most illustrious exponents of classical culture, but also minor authors whose works are known only from tradition or epigraphical sources. The index contains entries on 1,650 authors and 500 repertories and collections. Each entry provides a concise, informative summary of current research and is arranged in alphabetical order by author or by work, if the author is unknown.
