This collection was first published in two volumes, as Harvest: Stories, 1928-46 and Song for My Time: Stories from the Period of Repression, 1947-58, then re-edited into one volume, with 15 stories and articles added, with a critical introduction by John Crawford. The new material enables the reader to fully appreciate the rich diversity of the writings of this 95-year-old midwestern radical and feminist. This volume won an American Book Award from the Before Columbus Foundation in 1991.
