Dear Jurgen

A dark tale unfolds in the form of a letter to Jürgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool FC, from a fan, asking for the manager’s advice and support regarding the writer’s fragile marriage and family breakdown. The letter develops from an initial appeal for advice into a confession, revealing dark secrets and an intriguing story.

Set in the south and then the north of England, family man David ’Dono’ Donovan is at that dangerous age when he feels his marriage has gone stale. He meets a bewitching woman in a local pub whilst he is out celebrating his boss’s lottery win, and his life changes, irreparably, forever. From then on, his life becomes a mixture of inflamed desire, risk, romance, illusion and reality. the consequences of which lead him into a series of disasters he could not have envisaged.
