A History and Genealogical Record of the Allens, Begleys [and] Mays of Kentucky

John Allen was born in 1750 in Virginia and was second cousin to Ethan Allen. He married Janett (Jane) Colman, and fought in the Revolu- tionary War. They moved to Orange County, North Carolina and he died in 1812.
