The 2019 supplement will include excerpts of two important new cases. First, Timbs v. Indiana held that the Eight Amendment’s prohibition on excessive fines should be incorporated through the Due Process Clause of the 14th Amendment. Second, The American Legion v. American Humanist Association considers the constitutionality of a public cross memorial.
