Vol 1. Future nuclear physicist, Lise Reber, and future fighter pilot and test engineer, Heinrich von Onsager must fight for survival at the hands of fanatical Nazi, Hans Fritz. The trio begin as friends at a Hitler Youth science academy in 1926. After wedding bells ring for Lise and Heinrich in 1935, Hans discovers Lise’s lost Jewish ancestry at the cusp of WW II.
