The Education of the Whole Child

Are the needs of children catered for by current educational systems? Is it important to seek or act upon the opinions of children? These fundamental questions prompted a team of researchers to set up the Children and Worldviews Project, and this illuminating book is an account and an evaluation of that work. The children in the study are encouraged to talk about a range of issues, from religion and science to conflict, loss and parental separation. Their discussions - always open and often surprising - are reproduced at length, before being analysed with clarity and intelligence.
