The Bored of Education

Lucy Bates is a first-year teacher at Fillmore High. Inspired by her love for art and a desire to work with young people, Lucy is excited to begin her new career in teaching. Before long, however, her enthusiasm has turned to disappointment. Almost nothing is like she expected it would be. Especially disturbing is the emphasis her school puts on the state tests all students are required to take. However, the school year ends as a memorable one, both for Lucy and her students.
