This poetry book "The Rhyme of Birds: The Wild Birds" is a fable in verse. The fable is about Mr. Bald Eagle who visits Birdlandia, a place where animals and birds can talk to each other. Mr. Bald Eagle lands in a juniper tree in Birdlandia. He meets other wild birds, Mr. Peacock, Mr. Crane and Mrs. Owl. The wild birds dislike each other and they struggle to find a common ground. They meet animals like Mr. Squirrel and Mrs. Squirrel. They also meet other birds like Ms. Ostrich. The wild birds debate to find out which bird trait is best for survival and leadership. What trait is best for birds? Is is strength, beauty, long legs, brains, etc.?
