Tony Pratt is working as location manager for a Japanese television crew in Oregon's high desert to shoot an episode of Japan's highest-rated prime time show. The locals--most of them anyway--see the filming as an opportunity to promote tourism in the lucrative Japanese market. Tony's first problem--before coming face-to-face with the dead horse, the dead cowboy, the dead drug dealer, and before he and Pat discover a pair of deadly rattlesnakes in their hotel room--is to find a Shinto priest to bless the Japanese cast and crew. Without a blessing, the cameras can't roll. A Shinto priest in central Oregon? It turns out to be the least of their challenges as Tony and Pat find themselves plunged ito a cauldron of jealousy and sudden death.
