The Windmill Turning

Even in hardship, western Canadian Mennonites have celebrated their day-to-day lives with rhymes, songs, riddles, games, and maxims. The Windmill Turning begins by tracing a history of Plautdietsch, the Mennonite language from the lowlands of northern Germany and Holland, and includes illustrations, photos and musical scores.
