Traditions in New Freedom

After seventy years of restrictions and hostility towards the cause of religion, the Orthodox Church and other churches in the former Soviet union and faced with the problem of how to make religion accessible to students in higher education and to young men training for the priesthood in the new society. The author visited nearly fifty teaching institutions in Russia and Udraine in 1993-94 while considering these and related questions.
