An illustrated celebration presented in three distinct parts with essays from three distinguished contributors: In Part I, Professor Terence Browne traces the literary allusions to Ireland's architecture, eminent architect Arthur Gibney takes a critical look, while OPW (Office of Public Works) principal architect Michael O'Doherty traces the changing building needs of the state. Part II is a photographical celebration of the work, and Part III presents a by-the-decade record of every building ever built.
