A Fortunate Life

David Bell has had an interesting and varied "fortunate life." In this book he recounts some of his experiences while serving in the Royal Navy in Russia and Germany during the Second World War; his fourteen years work as a Colonial Service education officer in what was Northern Rhodesia and is now Zambia; and subsequently his postings with the British Council to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka), Thailand, India, Brazil, Ethiopia and Jordan.
