This work presents a rationale that can serve as a basis for making decisions about planning and implementing health instruction. The rationale comprises eight questions and provides guidance for health instruction curriculum planning that can be applied in a variety of settings, including the community, health care facilities, schools, and the workplace, with student populations including patients in a hospital, students in public or private schools, individuals enrolled in MPH or Health Education Specialist programs at a university, and senior citizens in a community center. Fodor is professor emeritus of health science at California State University. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
