When the criminals Officer MacLean couldn't put behind bars start showing up dead, he becomes the prime suspect in the investigation. SYNOPSIS: When a Vigilante strikes New York City, the police are baffled by a rapid spate of seemingly random killings of lowlife serial offenders. The media turn the Vigilante into a folk hero "The Subway Killer", who puts right miscarriages of justice when the system fails. Detective Drew MacLean is put in charge of the investigation only days after returning to work from a long sabbatical following his wife's violent death. Very quickly, MacLean is forced to face weaknesses in the system of justice, and whether or not to remain true to it. The stakes rise as MacLean becomes the prime suspect.
