Soils of Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta

Resource inventory of Waterton Lakes National Park, initiated by the National Parks Service. A soil survey, initiated in May 1971, obtaineddata on the kind, distribution, and characteristics of the soils in thePark. Generalized descriptions of soil map units and interpretations forpark use are given as are: (1) general description of the area; (2) surveyand analytical methods; (3) key to the soil mapping units plus descriptionsof morphology and site characteristics; (4) identification of limitations ofvarious land areas for selected uses.
