He first started traveling as an interpreter, teacher, researcher, and sometimes working under the Ford Foundation then, in his retirement, as a lecturer for several cruise lines. These experiences granted Thomas the opportunity of a lifetime that many people so desire—to see the world’s enchanting beauty firsthand.
