Women's Rights--unfinished Business

The purpose of the gathering of International NGO leadership was to collectively: Better understand the current context, challenges and new opportunities with regards to the promotion of gender equality within a global agenda; Share the state of the art analysis and strategies on how best to promote gender equality and women's rights within their organisations, with their partners and programme work. Some 50 speakers and participants from 28 organisations in 15 countries took part in the interactive meeting for which Hivos, in collaboration with AWID, had developed the programme. Overall aim was to strengthen the quality and content of INGO support for the promotion of women's rights.
