"The architect Bruno Taut (1880-1938) is considered a master of colorful architecture. With its housing projects he set new standards worldwide. Especially the built 1925-1932 Hufeisensiedlung in Berlin-Britz is internationally recognized as a key work of the reform-oriented housing. The colorfully decorated and with many green spaces settlement is built around a 350-meter-long, spectacular horseshoe-shaped curved building lineup. The ensemble is an expression of urban planning mission statement 'light, air and sun for all."
