Oceanside

Oceanside is a close look at a community whose history begins with the history of Long Island. Captured in these images is the south shore town that was once one of the largest oyster-producing communities in the world. It is a place that, over the years, has attracted farmers, baymen, middle-class families, and millionaires. It has also drawn more than its share of visitors to St. Anthonys underground church, Bealls Zoo, the Roadside Rest, and Nathans Famous Restaurant.
