Our Heritage from the Gwartney's of Indiana

Micajah Gwartney (ca. 1750-1818) moved from Virginia to Kentucky in the early 1800's, and eventually purchased land in Corydon, Indiana by early 1815. Micajah and his wife Elizabeth " ... were both 45 and up in 1810. ... [He] died between August 1818 and November 1818. ... [Elizabeth] probably died between 1820 and 1830."--P. 6. Some descendants became members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Descendants and relatives lived in Indiana, Kentucky,Ohio, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Utah, California and elsewhere.
