Karl Hartung 1908-1967

Presents an interpretation of the work of the German sculptor Karl Hartung (1908-1967), a biographical outline, an exhibition schedule, and a catalogue raisonné of his sculptural achievement. Hartung is known as the leading abstract sculptor of his generation in Germany, and he worked in stone, bronze, terracotta, and wood. Apart from the 95 black and white illustrations within the text, the book is further illustrated with 33 large color plates, 57 large black and white plates, and small black and white illustrations for each of the 808 works of the artist's oeuvre.
