The Sky Below

Gabriel Collins works halfheartedly as an obituary writer at a ratty newspaper in lower Manhattan. Once a dreamy, imaginative boy and now a semi-artist, he has turned from a rebellious adolescent to a scheming adult who will do anything for cash. He is poised between life and death, art and crime, rising and falling. But after a brush with his own mortality, Gabriel must flee--only to experience a profound transformation in which he discovers, to his surprise, his true life's purpose.
